El Lissitzky - Proun - Project for the Affirmation of the New - Lissitzky’s Proun compositions utilize shifting axes and multiple perspectives to convey the idea of rotation in space. “We brought the canvas into circles,” he declared in 1921, “and while we turn, we raise ourselves into the space.”

Design proposal

Inspired by El Lissitzky’s

Russian Proun concept:

“open dynamic space”

A transparent object relating to its environment in silence

The mirroring roof creates a spacious and light atmosphere.

Inside-out activities book cases and seatings in

expressive colours along the circular space.

An enlightening space to study the Russian language and literature nested in the Russian collection.
